Insert ExpressCard into 17" MacBook Pro

I have a late 2008 model 17" MacBook Pro and I recently bought a Transcend Express Card Reader.

I can't seem to get the card to fit into my computer. I've pushed it in until it is completely inside the computer, but it doesn't attach to anything. It just springs back out.

How do I correctly plug in this card?
