I just bought my first Mac after living on the dark side for many years. I'm comfortable inside a computer and have built several high end gaming rigs. I've successfully installed additional memory and a hard drive. I purchased a graphics card that needs additional power but all the connectors are covered by the various plastic cowlings(?), I've Googled until my fingers hurt looking for information on how to remove the cowlings that are blocking access to the main board, I don't want to start ripping things out and hurt my fine new Mac. Is there such a site? I appreciate your help.

Mac Pro (early 2008), 18GM 800 DDR, 300GB & 750GB drives.

Thanks!!!

Where do you want to plug it in? You can't get to the PSU, so you'll have to use one of the connectors on the motherboard.

This shows the process of removing the fan assembly to get to the unused SATA ports. In removing the fans, it's easier to get to the sockets for GPU power cords.

This is exactly what I was looking for!
