Instagram Issues

Firstly, +++ for the alliteration!

I have an iPhone 3 (or 3gs, not too sure) and recently downloaded Instagram. It's apparently v3.0.0 but somehow seems to look like the OLD Instagram - none of the 'new' features are available, despite my phone being a V4.2.1.

Can anyone help troubleshoot this?
