Is there any way to hack a flash drive that's been formatted as a Lion recovery/install drive? I'd like to add Diskwarrior and Drive Genius to the available utilities.

I replaced the system dmg with a writeable copy but this only allows me to copy the apps over to it. I don't know how to make them appear in that "launch window".

If you're in Lion Recovery, you can't access 3rd party apps.

That sux. I like the lean OS of the recovery disk. I made a USB boot drive with a full OS on it but it's so bloated with unnecessary stuff I was hoping I could just add my own extras to the other one.
