okay, I'm on a 16gb iPod Touch and this problem has happened before and I restored my iPod. I don't want to do it again so is there a way to fix this?

Problem:
Whenever I go into install.app and find a application that I want to install, it lets me. BUT, when it's finished it doesn't do the normal go back to install home. It just jumps into the home screen and the app doesn't install. Does this mean I don't have enough disk space?

I have the same exact problem :| My firmware also wont go back to reading 1.1.1 after I used the FWChanger to go to 1.1.3. Have you used the Firmware Changer?

Try uninstalling an app or two,

then install bosstools and move fonts, apps, ringtones and it should give you more space, all apps install to a seperate disk to your main bigger one,

this disk is only 300mb and there is used up quick unless you use bosstools and move apps,

that solved my problem before

hope this helps
