Hello,

This is a mild emergency --arch grad school and deadlines and all...

...... how do i use a tiger install disk that came with a powerbook, on an older dual proc g4 powermac?

the install disk tells me that it can't be used on this computer...

thanks,
r.

Duff-Man says....you search the forum as this subject comes up almost every week.

Quick answer - you don't. You are not licensed to install it elsewhere....oh yeah!

this is how you do it

you walk down to the apple store or go online and order a copy of Tiger for the G4.

I have a copy of Tiger for all three of my computers so why should you get the special treatment of just using one for how ever many computers you want?

That's because it's for a PowerBook and not a dual G4.
