heard so much about linux, thought id give it a try. so i download it, ubuntu-14.04, and after downloading ti says unsupported file. ive downloaded it a couple of time and same result. have a MacPro 1,1

ive read it and read it, even watched a youtube video on doing it, still no luck. i thought it would be half way easy to do. i have the download for mac but thats the end of it. it says unsupported file. i know it cant be that hard, just knowing what to do. i used the terminal and typed in what it said to type in but still nothing. watched a few youtube videos and followed every step but again nothing. i can boot to it but says not supported.

When does this message come up? Are you trying to install from CD or USB?

You say you can boot to it but it says not supported.....?

well seems that know one could understand what i was talking about, but anyway i found another site that had ubuntu 13.10 download and it installed perfect, loaded and updated just as i thought it should. best as i can describe is that the 14.0 i downloaded form ubuntu site ended up, at least for me, nothing more than a terminal. anyway i have it now.
