Install Lion on external hard drive

Hi, I just bought a Macbook Air, wanna install the Windows as from bootcamp, but the hard drive is just 64GB, I don't wanna do it within a single drive or else I'll have only 20-30Gb free spaces, can I install a new OSX Lion on an external drive & run the bootcamp in the external Lion? And how?
