There are a lot of folks who are hesitant of forgoing SL for Lion this early. While installing on a different partition or HD have been discussed, sharing of files and ease of switching b/w OSes will be a hassle.

One way around this is of course to use VMware or Parallels. There has been one tested way to install Lion on VMware fusion, which seems to work well on all prior Lion developer versions.

However, there does not seem to be any reliable feedback from those who may have tried this with the Lion GM or Lion release version. Any thoughts?

I should of installed Lion in a VM first but too late now. About to finish my fresh install of Lion.
