Hi,

I have a MBP C2D and a MB CD. I only have the original DVD for Mac OSX 10.4.8 that came with the MBP, because I thought the two were the same so I left the other MB DVD back in the US.

But now I need to clean install Max OSX into my MB, but when I try using the DVD the came with my MBP, it says that this is not allowed.

Any way to work around this?

Thanks

It's illegal. Don't do it. Ask Apple for another disc or wait for Leopard and you would have to pay some money. It's better to do that than doing something illegal.

really?

Oh didn't realize that was illegal.

Seems kind of strange as I own both the MBP C2D and the MB. I just moved abroad for the year so didn't want to bring both sets of DVDs seeing that I thought it was the exact same thing.

Didn't realize it was this complicated.

Thanks for the posts though.
