My screen has continued to flicker after a main board and 2 lcd replacements. I want to do a fresh install of Lion/ML to see if that fixes it, but when I try to install osx, apple says my apple id has not purchased the osx. How do I install Lion or Ml? I have the osx file on my external hd, but I don't know how to install it. Can I get some help please.

If you have the OS X installer DMG, use this free app along with a 8GB USB key to make your self an installer. Then option key boot to the USB key and erase your disk and install.
I tried making a boot disk with a usb and it gave me an error. Now im trying to burn a dvd boot disk and its stuck on please wait lion disk maker is burning your dvd 0..
The usb error was "the disk could not be created because of an error: an error occurred: 1. hdiutl: attach failed- no such file or directory"
Please help.
I also tried this same procedure on another mac and it gave me the same issues.
