Install OS X (Jaguar to be exact) over ethernet?

I have an iBook that I want to install Jaguar on. It has a broken optical drive. I know I can use target disk mode to do this, but I don't have a firewire cable to accomplish this.

I'm wondering if I can accomplish this using an ethernet cable? If so, what are the steps?

I think you can only install OS X Server over a network. Or you need Server on the source machine. Of course, I may be completely wrong

Not unless you set up a Netinstall, which isn't exactly simple.
