Picked up CS3 Production Premium as our all-in-one photo/video tool and started to install it Friday. Everything installed fine, except for Encore CS3 Library, giving a Component Install Failed error. Tried several different things recommended on Adobe's website to no avail. Yesterday I started to manually go thru the install disk that seems to have the problem and discovered that the dmg file for this library would not mount correctly. Has anyone else run into a bad dmg file on a CS3 disk? I tried reading with either SuperDrive and had the same problem on both.
I was able to partially retrieve some of the Libraries and Styles from the dmg file by doing a cancel during the verification part of the mount, but still need to get the rest. I've opened up a case with Adobe, hopefully they will send me a replacement install disk or point me to where I can download these libraries and styles directly. Pretty frustrating to have spent such a pretty penny on some software and then run into this. Encore itself is working, just don't have any libraries and file to read, i.e. the protected app itself is okay however the data files are missing. Irritating...
