Hi

I have a 2010 iMac and am considering putting an additional SSD in. However, it came to me to think, can I put the additional one in, then also just replace the HDD as well and have two SSDs? Will this need an additional cage or something to hold the SSD in place? Anything specific about the 2010 model as well?

Also, should I be looking at specific SSD models or can I pretty much go with whatever feel like? Recommendations?

Thanks.

21.5" or 27"? 21.5" only has 2 sata ports. so you'd have to remove the ODD for 2 ssd/hdd. 27" has 3 sata ports, meaning you can have 2 ssd/hdd without removing the ODD.

personally, i use a samsung 830. though you should be fine with owc, crucial or intel. ocz has reliability issues in the past so i'd stay away from it.
