A program called Install Utility is launching on startup. It loads on the dock for less than a second then is gone. No idea what it is or if it's connected to another program. Spotlight finds nothing (I guess system files are no longer returned in a search in Leopard) nor do I have any idea what it is or where is resides. Any thoughts? Thanks.

EDIT: nothing is listed in startup items in System Preferences, that was the first thing I checked.

Go to System Preferences --> Accounts and click on your account. Then go to Login Items. Is it listed there? If so, remove it, and it'll stop loading at start up.

Can't help you with where it came from/what it is doing though.
