Hey
I just partitioned my brand new LaCie F.A. Porsche 250 GB FW400 drive into two partitions via diskutility. One that's 182 GB, and in HFS+. This is for my own data. One other that's 50 GB, and formatted in FAT32 (DU can't format in NTFS).

I tried to install Vista on the 50 GB partition, but it said the installer didn't support installation on external FW/USB drives, so I cancelled.

Now I though about creating a 15 GB partition on MacBook's internal 60 GB drive, installing Vista onto that, and then clone that image onto the 50 GB partition, whereafter I delete the internal Vista partition. Will any of this work, and can Macs really boot Windows OS'es from FW disks?

Any help appreciated.:)

I only post this post for my completely edited thread to appear on Forum Spy. I'm sorry if it's illegal, but I can assure you, that it's not to achieve a higher post count, as I'm currently not active on MR.:)
