Hello all,
I have a bunch of old laptops and a tower that I want to donate - all PCs but I want to get the data off of them and wipe them. The problem is on 2 laptops i no longer have powercords and i don't have a monitor for the tower.

What i want to do is pull the drives out, hook them up to my mac, pull the data off, format and install windows xp on all of them.

Can this be done? I have already pulled the data off and fat32'd the drives, just need to understand how to install XP. I have XP images (and yes, I do own them) but I'm not really sure the best way to do this, or if it's even possible. Can i do it in VMware?

the drives are connected to my mac with an IDE to USB cable.

thanks
