What a difference. Very fast and no beach balls..I used my pc to make the firmware update disk. Does it make a difference?

No, that is a beauty of the ISO format, you can recreate a CDROM/DVD on any machine and it will be a clone of the original.

I cant believe how smooth everything went. It feels like i have a new Laptop

Indeed, it does make me wonder what people are doing when they get missing drives on boot, torn cables etc.
