I'm using an MBP 15" Late 2013 with dual boot. For better SSD performance I want to install Intel RST driver for Win 8.1 instead of the vanilla one. But the Intel installer constantly says my platform is unsupported. The installation had never failed on any of my past Macs (including an Eary 2013 model). I'm quite sure that this Mac runs on HM87 chipset so there is no reason it isn't supported. Does anyone ever have similar experience and get a solution? Many thanks in advance.

Apple implements a custom UEFI in its logic boards.

So I suspect it's something to do with the UEFI that Apple loads on the boards, and there's nothing that can be done about it.
