Ok, first of all, I am new to Apple/mac. I know almost nothing. 
My brother has a newer Apple laptop, and I have a PC.
We have a wireless router connected to the PC that the MAC connects to for internet use and file sharing between the PC and MAC.
We had an HP printer connected to the PC and the MAC was able to use it-very simple install.
NOW, we have a Lexmark X5435 and no matter what we do, we can't get the laptop to print on the "network."
If we connect the printer directly to the laptop through USB we can print from the laptop.
The printer on the PC is shared.
Suggestions?
