Currently, I am running the latest version of Leopard; however I encountered some issues when I migrated from Tiger. My previous info and files were on a Powerbook G4 running Tiger, after buying a Macbook Pro in October, I migrated my files to Tiger; however I encounter authentication issues with some files, in that as the administrator I am unable to change some files or to to add/remove files from some folders. While it is not terribly difficult to enter my password, I would like to avoid the same problem if I install Snow Leopard. Would it be better to move files manually then allow for the migration assistant to help me?
Any thoughts on the best way to transfer info from an old system, I was thinking of a fresh install?
Many thanks...
