I keep seeing my memory usage maxing out and a ton of swap being used on my 14" MBP 10/16/16/1TB model.

The culprit process is 'installd' and it is using 8GB or RAM by itself. The only major app open is Safari.

Not sure if this is a MBP or Monterey issue, so I started in this group.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It looks like Xcode is in a update loop trying to get from 13.2 to 13.2.1.

RAM would go all the way to 14GB used and 5GB Swap (that was the highest I actually saw it). App Store would then show that Xcode was up to date. A few moments later, the process would start again. I have Auto Updated turned off in the App Store. Rebooting will not stop the madness.

I just killed the 'installd' process and now my RAM usage is more inline with what it should be. It has not come back on and it has been about 10 minutes or so since the kill was initiated.
