I just installed the beta of 8.3 on my iPod touch and after syncing for the first time it removed nearly all of the album cover art plus the photos of the artists that are automatically added. It was fine connecting it, as it asked if my computer trusted the device (asking me to confirm on the touch, which I did). The album art is still there in iTunes so I'm not sure why that happened.
It's not syncing anything either now, though it did take things off. I'm using a 32 bit Macbook running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Haven't had a problem before.
