I recently bought a brand new logic board because the Nvidia chip on the old one had failed on my 17"(late 2007). Something really weird had happened. I booted up for the first time and everything seemed to work fine. I saw a blue screen with the apple logo, the loading bar, then the loading circle. Next thing I know.. the screen goes blank. I reboot and the screen is still blank. After another reboot the boot up chime disappears but I can hear everything else working.

This has been really frustrating for me as you can imagine. I'd really appreciate some help.

Thanks

Wasn't that wonderful 8400 NVIDA now was it?

Sounds like your replacement was a used board. I have ordered good and bad boards offline in the past, sorta a crap shot on what one gets in.

Have you contacted the seller? Says he backs it a 3 month warranty.

why would you do that repair yourself? It should have been fully covered under warranty, if I am understanding this correctly.
