Updated to Catalina, and now my desktop is free of icons. I use to have stacks for my screenshots, and those are no longer displayed. Any idea how to get this stuff back on the desktop? I have stacks enabled (use stacks).
I am not sure if something messed up when I had to "merge" all my iCloud information after update, because I kept getting asked to input my icloud/imac password every 5 minutes in system preferences.
I eventually signed out, merged contacts, and signed back in. Any help or suggestions? Thanks

hade to check the documents on desktop icon in system preferncance /icloud. No idea why it got unchecked.
