I bought a new Powerbook G4 in January and before selling my Powerbook G3 toa friend, I installed the Panther OS that came on disk with the G4 onto the PB G3 (OK, I know I'm not supposed to do that, but I did) anyway, everything seemed fine, but I noticed that the DVD player app was not installed. I am guessing that the G4 Panther Disk was looking for G4 Hardware and didn't find it, so didn't install it. I tried copying the DVD Player app from my G4 to the G3 and it won;t work. I tried a few 3rd party apps and they don't work except for one that's a beta and provides only choppy playback (it says G4 required for smooth playback or something to that effect). Anyway here are my questions:

1. Where can I find a DVD player app that will provide smooth DVD playback on my G3 which has the G4 Panther OS on it?

2. Is there anything else that could potentially not function properly as a result of having installed the Panther Disk that came with my G4 onto my G3 Powerbook?
