Installed new RAM, now a part sticks out....Black Macbook Intel Core 2 Duo Question

An update:
I installed a new harddrive and ram, computer is working really well, but the little plate seems to be sticking out...couldn't get it to fit back into place...any ideas?

Sorry for making a new thread but I haven't been able to find a confirmation.

My harddrive failed on me, and I'm looking to replace it myself. I was thinking about this one...will it be compatible?

It'll work fine. It's the padding that's in the way. Unscrew the plate and shove the padding back inside. That'll fix the issue, but it's a non-issue.

Yup, the padding is the issue.
