I have no clue what my friend did, apparently downloaded windows 7 and installed it on his mac somehow and now all it does is boot in windows..

I haven't looked at it yet and he's bringing it around tonight.

I told him to hold the "option" key on start up and he says the only option he has is windows..

Has anyone heard of this before?

Thanks!

thats what I figured, so there's no hope for his old files then correct?

Just reinstall OS X and then boot camp a partition for his windows OS?

Check the size of the Windows 7 partition too to see if it is as big as the whole drive or not.

Finally, before you do it again, make sure that the install CD isn't some sort of "recovery" or "restore" disk that will do this again.
