Hi-- still trying to get used to this new "apps need to ask permissions for everything" thing in Mojave. I was looking through the list in System Preferences->Security&Privacy->Privacy. I notice under Automation, Installer.app has been granted permission to control System Events.app. I don't remember granting permission, but maybe I did. Does anyone else have this, know why this permission would have been requested, and thinks it is OK?

I did a search and the only Installer.app I could find is in the System folder, so probably an Apple core app, so I assume it is OK. Although it is a bit strange that an Apple app would need to ask for permission. I don't like that in the Privacy pane there is no way to locate the app in question, it just gives you the name but doesn't show the path or give a Show In Finder option.

Thank for any insight.

Well Fwiw - I've just looked in my System Prefs>Security & Privacy>Automation and the "Installer" app doesn't appear.
I think its some thing you have downloaded to your mac and has left this app.
