iPod touch Installer Application showing only 15mb spare?

I have jailbroken my ipod, and i only have a couple of things on it. Itunes is reporting that i have 12gb free, but the bit at the bottom of the installer application on the ipod touch is saying i only have 15mb free, and when i add something it comes up a warning.

Is this normal or should it have more than that free? If so what did i do wrong? :(
