I am running on Mac 10.6, and I don't have an admin password on it. I want to install the Air Display Server, but it comes as a package, and I need an admin password to install packages. Is there a way to avoid this? Maybe if there is a way to not install in /Applications, but somewhere else, it would solve the problem? Or is there a way to extract the payload from the file?

No, as the AirDisplay Server needs access to system folders, it needs an admin password for the access.
Maybe ask the owner of the Mac to install that application for you.

It's kind of tough to explain, but long story short, it's my computer, but I don't own it. I used to be one of 2 people who had admin passwords, but they now have new, less trusting staff, and they refuse to install even necessary packages. So basically, I'm screwed. Thanks for the response, though!
