Hi,

My friend recently put 2 1 gig dimms in her emac (same as mine in sig). And I didn't think that was possible.

Her computer is running, and it is tempting me to want to do the same thing.

Any words of caution?

The REAL question here is.......does the machine recognize all the ram and use it ???????

Although the "Official" apple specs say the max in that machine is 1GB, there ARE 2 ram slots, and as long as the memory controller can handle chips bigger than 512mb, then you should have no problems at all......

time for a visit to the system profiler :D

Well her About this Mac window says 2 GB DDR SDRAM under the memory section.

So it is recognizing it that much....
