Installing 3rd and 4th Hard Drives-coming up as external not internal

Hello,

I just got a mac pro last week. The day i got it i installed a 1TB WD sate drive in bay 2....No problems it works great.....

However, today i picked up 2 more 1 TB WD drives and attempted to install into slots 3 and 4... PROBLEM!

The drives are showing up as external/firewire drives- not internal drives

Can anyone help with what i should do?

Oh, and when i restart, they come up uninitialized.- But the problem anyway is that they need to be seen as internal.

Have you tried formatting them in disk utility?

definitely tried formatting

however, maybe i can do it again differently for them to work?

i don't know how to change its location from external to internal

Here's what i did, who knows really if this is why it now works.

- I removed both FW800 and FW400 cables i had plugged in, restarted while zapping the PRAM and they showed up in disk utility, so i formatted them and the rest is history.
