I'm expecting my new iMac to be delivered tomorrow and therefore its time to move away from the PC. As I have files, licensed programs etc on the windows machine and I'd much rather not have to spend time re-installing everything from scratch, my question is this:
a) Since I have now created a vhd file using Windows Backup for the whole operating system disk, it is possible for me to use this to install Vista into boot camp instead of going via a install CD.
If not, then is this possible ?
b) I install a copy of vista and later on the boot prompt use the windows recovery system and restore the contents of the vhd file into the windows partition ?
Essentially I am trying to clone a copy of my working but soon to be LINUX'd PC to work on Mac.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
