Hi, what is the best way to install fonts... i have over 40 different fonts that i need to install...

In Windows, all you need to do is drag them into C:/Windows/Fonts/ directory

Is there a similar method on the mac... i have searched it on google and youtube and most people seem to be adding them through the Font app, thanks in advance for your help...

There is but font management on Mac OS X is VERY different from Windows, due to there being 3 locations to store installed fonts:
  • /System/Library/Fonts (for OS default fonts, DO NOT MODIFY)
  • /Library/Fonts (for fonts all users of the computer can use)
  • ~/Library/Fonts (fonts specific to you)
Further complicating matters is that, in Lion, ~/Library is a hidden folder by default. This is why people normally use the built-in Font Book application for working with fonts.

Cool, thanks... i think i'll stick to the Font Book App when installing them, thanks again for your help ;)
