I have a mid-2011 iMac that I'm getting ready to donate. It has a 250gb SSD and a 1 TB HDD. Somehow OSX is on the HDD and I want to boot from the SSD but I don't think it's formatted properly. I thought I needed to format the SSD with APFS but am not sure how to accomplish this. Here's what disk utility looks like:

If I select Crucial and then ERASE, there is no option for APFS. See below:

If I select 256SSD then my options are as below:

Which option do I want?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Easy way is clone High Sierra from Hdd to SSD with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDisk!

Choose SSD at booting time by pressing Option Key.

Hint : High Sierra can boot also from HFS+ partition

Thanks Masso and Pippox for the help. I guess since I'm trying to make the SSD bootable then the APFS option is what I need. I considered cloning the old drive but since I'm donating the machine I didn't want my old data on it.
