I'm interested if there is a walk around to install iPad apps on an iPhone 4. The one that I am most interested in downloading would be the ABC Player application.

No way of doing so.
Those apps are set at a different size when displaying and you have to edit the app to bring the size down which you have no control of since you are not the developer.
