I have iPhone OS 3.0 beta on my iPhone 3G. A while ago, I tried to update to the official 3.0 release, but it resulted on saying "This version is the latest version of your software."

I know I was impatient installing beta thingies on my iPhone, but I would be glad if someone could tell me how to get the official 3.0 up and running on my iPhone? Should I first downgrade to 2.2.1 or there is something else to be done?

Any help and tips greatly appreciated

I did it by booting my iPod into restore mode (Press the Lock + Home Button untill it shuts off completely, ignoring the slide bar, and then releasing the lock button while continuing to hold the home button untill it is recognized by iTunes.) then I restored my iPhone
