Hi,

Newbie to Mac and having difficulty in getting a Kyocera FS1920 printer to work with my iMac (2.8GhZ Intel Core Duo) OS X 10.5.2

Downloaded the appropriate OSX 10.5 driver from the Kyocera web site and installed it, but printer still producing gobbledegook pages.

Has anyone else experienced similar? I have heard that Kyoceras and Macs don't mix well? Is this true or just talk.

Anyone have any solutions?

Which model and from what program? Make sure to inspect all the settings available in the dropdown menus when you print, and do a google seach for your exact model and you version of OS X to find others that may have found a solution. It would be rare to find someone here who has used a Kyocera Printer on their Mac.

I have already done what you suggest. Hence the reason I asked here.

Whilst new to Macs I am not new to computing or forums.

Hoping someone else might be able to assist?

Hi,

In system preferences > print & fax the printer is showing correctly but the 'kind' is not.

The printer is set as default, but when I go into options & supplies > driver, it asks me to select the model etc

The Kyocera 1920 is there, but after selection, this does not seem to resolve the issue.

The printer is plugged directly into the iMac (not via keyboard)

Managed to resolve this one at last.

Obtained a copy of Kyocera Digital Library KM 8.8.40 CD, ran CD and it works like a dream.

Thanks to all those who offered suggestions.
