Hey!

I am wondering if anybody out there has figured out how to put multiple versions of the mac os on an external hard drive?

I have been able to put leopard on it but I can't put anything else on it and it has been partitioned into three sections. My goal is to use it to help me diagnose problems for my small business I am running so if anyone has the method to do this please let me know.

There shouldn't be any problems with doing that. If tiger is not recognizing the other partition try disabling journeling from the file system on that partition. You can do this through leopard. Of course you also want to make sure that you have a universal binary of tiger and not just a ppc version.
