So I took the plunge and decided to finally download Lion after holding out. I would still like to create a small Snow Leopard Partition for running a few Rosetta apps I can't use on Lion. What have you guys found is the best way to do this?

It kinda depends on your setup; for example, do you have available external bootable drives? If so, install SL and migrate your stuff there. Then install Lion on your other drive and you're good to go.

Or go the opposite direction; test out Lion installed on the external.

Or partition one drive and do the same. Although you'd have to boot from a DVD and move the stuff from Time Machine or whatever other backup you use.

So far I created a secondary partition for Lion (50GB) and am going to install my Rosetta apps on there. Then I will install Lion on the big partition. Any advantage to installing Snow Leopard on an external drive or bootable USB vs. on a partition on the internal HDD?
