Hi,
My stock HD is getting a bit slow, so I thought I'd upgrade to Lion and install a new WD Scorpio Black 320gb on my 2007 Macbook at the same time.
Firstly, would it just be a case of creating a bootable .dmg USB/DVD, installing the new hard disk and then plugging in the boot disk and holding option and installing onto the new HD?
Secondly, I have all my current files backed up onto time machine - if i want to selectively restore certain files i.e just music, apps and photos, and not my windows xp vmware folder or a few other random files - what would be the best way of going about this once Lion is installed?
Thanks in advance!
