Hello all,
If this topic has been covered, I could not find that thread, And I honestly search a lot, even outside of MacRumors forums and I can't find the answer.
So what's the problem?
I just got my Mac Pro 2006, I plan to make a software RAID 0 array with two OCZ Agility 3 SSDs for a boot/applications drive. The problem is that I am not entirely sure how I would get the OS installed on a software RAID 0 array, I have searched in many websites and Googled it, and no one has the answer.
How do I install the OS across the two hard drives? And perhaps more importantly, is this even possible?
I have read somewhere else on the forums that a RAID is not just a setup within the OS software, it's an entity of the hard drives, meaning if one has a RAID 0 of two drives in a computer, one can take those drives to another computer and they will stay in their original RAID configuration. So with this, could I just setup the SSDs in their RAID configuration then do a clean install of Snow Leopard straight onto that?
Thanks in advance.
