Have a quick question

My mac os x (currently) is updated at 10.5.7.

If I were to buy leopard and install, would it work/ install properly? Since the retail version of leopard is at 10.5.6?

When I originally bought the mac the pre-installed software was 10.5.5.

The install discs i have are not working properly for some reason.

Or, you could wait for about 2 months and buy Snow Leopard for $30. But if you want to reinstall Leopard, and the reinstall discs aren't working, head to an Apple store and they should help out. Schedule a Genius Bar appointment.

im actually selling the computer, thats why i wanted to restore.

But shouldn't reinstalling leopard do the trick though?
