I have M6,1 with the last version of Monterey installed on the internal drive.

I'd like to install a copy of Mojave onto an external SSD to run 32 bit apps, and dual boot between them

Is this feasible?

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

[Sorry if this is a bit of noob question, I've not found the answer as yet...]

I would imagine you would need to download Mojave

and create USB install media.

Boot from the Mojave USB install media and use Disk Utility to format your external drive APFS, then install Mojave to it.

You will need to hold down Option key while booting to pick which macOS to boot from.
