iPod touch Installing new apps

I updated my ipod touch software and then I just purchased the new apps in the itunes store. It says all I have to do is hit sync and the new apps will install on my touch. However, they did not. Anyone have this problem or a suggestion how to fix?

I have not updated, so this is only speculation, but I suggest restarting iTunes, along with your Touch, then syncing.
