Installing old IBM printer as a network printer?

I have an old IBM Network Printer 12 (model 4312) that I just got a network card for and I want to install it on my MBP. IBM only has drivers for OS 8 and 9. How can I get it installed? In the printer setup utility, if I click Add and enter the IP Address, it doesn't connect to it.

if the printer is really old, i doubt you would be able to connect it, you can get a new printer for like 50 bucks now days!
