Hi all,

I'm trying to upgrade my iMac G3 400MHz with OS X 10.3 over OS 9.0.4, but I'm prompted to upgrade my Firmware which is currently 3.3 to 4.1.9.

When I try to upgrade to 4.1.9 I get prompted that the firmware update will only run on OS 9.1 or later.

Is there anyway around this???

PLZ can anyone suggest un easier way than having to find a version of OS 9.1, install that then install OS X!!!

Thanks in adv!!!

Duff-Man says....the update to 9.1 (or 9.2.x for that matter) is free and is no trouble to download and install, and is needed/recommended if you want to run classic under os x. You can get it from here ...oh yeah!

THANKS Duff-Man,

The link is great! For some reason it was not that easy to find @ Apple.com!!!

Glad I'm a member here...................................
