when I got my Macbook, I only got a 10.5.5 dropin disc to upgrade. Now I am replacing my hdd, how can I reintsll OS X from thhis upgrade disc without an older version?

I thought you could boot from the upgrade and it will ask for an older version disc to verify you own the previous product. It's been so long since I've done that, so I may be off a bit.

I didn't see that option, but I did fond the install discs. I never knew I got them, I only remember the 10.5.5 upgrade disc. Anyway, I am installing now.

Thanks for the help
