installing quicktime

so i threw quicktime in the trash for VLC...but now i would like to install quicktime again...so when trying to install a fresh copy via apple.com i get this error...any help please? thx guys!

Pop in the Snow Leopard install disk and select Extensions, there is Quicktime 7

soooo i dont have my install discs anymore...lost them. can i use my buddy's disc from his new macbook pro he bought last week?

I think you can because you are only going to install Quicktime but I'm not sure. Trying it costs you nothing more than time so do it
